Complementary Therapy Service 
St. Lukes has been offering complementary therapies to patients, carers and clients since it first opened it doors in 1991. Since then the complementary Therapy Department has grown to include referrals from hospitals, support groups for many chronic and disabling diseases and the community. Patients, carers, bereaved people and clients can also refer themselves to the service.St. Luke’s has always placed great emphasis on a holistic and specialised approach to patient care. The Complementary Therapy Service seeks to provide holistic treatments to aid the physical, psychological and spiritual problems of patients, carers and clients. Therapies include:
All out therapists are highly qualified, some with degrees in Complementary Medicine. We offer therapies at two sites, our Garden Rooms at St. Luke’s Hospice (including provision in the Day Hospice and our In-Patient Unit), and at St. Luke’s House, Corringham. There is also a community service provided wherever possible, bringing complementary therapies into patient’s homes who are unable to attend the various complementary venues.
