St. Luke’s Hospice working in partnership with SPDNS Nurse Care CIC to provide Hospice at Home in South West Essex (Basildon, Wickford, Billericay and Thurrock)

Hospice at Home are expanding their social care team and are recruiting community carers to provide 7 day a week care. This team deliver personal and social care support to patients with palliative care needs in their own homes.

You will be: • Caring, compassionate and reliable • Wanting to make a difference to people who are facing the end of their lives and their families • Able to work early mornings, some evenings and alternate weekends, either full time or part time but all on a Bank basis • A car owner / driver with a clean, full licence

We offer: • Comprehensive, streamlined induction • 24 hour supportive management • Access to NVQ training and career development as a student in our own NVQ centre • Good pay, with salaried terms and conditions of employment, with 24 days paid holiday increasing to 28 days pro rata in April 2009 • On the job training for those with no experience
